Default Oil change question

K, this is a really db newbie question. I changed my oil this last weekend while I was putting on my ace sliders and OME HD lift (pics to come later), and every time I turn the jeep on, I still get the change oil message. What am I missing here?

All you need to do is turn your key to the ON position without starting your engine and then push your accelerator pedal to the floor 3 times. Turn your key off and you should be good to go.

Read your owners manual where it tells you to stick out your tongue, wiggle your ears and turn the key to the on position without starting withing 10 seconds and it will stop that. If you don't have the owners manual you can download one free from Jeep.com

Default The real answer.

Ok, I had to go look it up since I put the wise crack on here. So here it is from the manual.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not
start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three
times within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.

Seriously, if you don't have the manual you can find it on the Jeep website as a free download.
