Default Oil from extended diff breather tube????

I got home from a weekend away and noticed that I had diff fluid leaking from my extended breather under my hood. It was enough to run down the engine compartment and make it's way onto the end of my slider.

I just changed my axle this spring and added a "solid" diff cover. My trip home yesterday was 90 degrees and a 3 hour drive (1 hour highway driving) where I got stuck in traffic on the highway for 30 minutes. May I have over filled it combined with the 90 degree temp have been a factor or is it something else?

Probably overfilled it. Did you fill to the new fill hole? Some aftermarket dif covers allow more fluid than you need.

I tried to guess as to the level from the factory cover, but I may have over filled.
