Default Roll Cage

I have been toying with the idea of adding to the stock roll cage. I am an experienced welder and find making things more satisfactory than buying them. I was wondering if anyone else has made custom adjustments or add-ons to the stock cage. I have a unlimited. Pics would be great!

There are companies that offer bolt in or weld in add ons to the JK cage. Only problem I have with it is the factory cage is poop and wouldn't trust it with additional support to it. If you are spending the time and money, you might want to look at doing a custom one. Do you have a bender? If not I know poly performance offers a cage that goes through the dash on the a-pillar. I don't like the ones that loop in front of the dash or the ones that have the plat bracket that hugs the sides. Just my personal preference.

Yea I hear ya, I do have a pipe bender and I definitely don't like the tubes out in front of the dash either.

Take your time plan it out and build your own. The factory cage is junk.

A guy by the name of Minner did a cage very similar to the poly/synergy cage over on jkfreaks. If you're going to go through the effort make sure to add at least a-pillar frame tie in's. Personally, a full cage is the way to go, but weld it supports of the stock cage still should do a very good job at bracing things up.
