Oily leak

Default Oily leak




I have small leak of clear looking oily substance, by lower corner area of radiator on driver side. I have aux trans cooler, but it does not appear to red in color.

Maybe try soaking it up in a tissue, see if it dries, then see if there's some color to aid in identification. Also -- If someone else has worked on it, they could have spilled something instead of it being a leak.

Not exactly the area I'd expect to see it, but could it be windshield washer fluid? Those are notorious for leaking, especially when cold. Mine does, but once weather warms up it stops. It's the design of the pump/fluid reservoir connection--very poor without an actual seal or gasket.

the only clear oily fluid i believe is brake fluid.
