Default Old and cautious!!!

I just bought a new two door JK sport a week ago with an automatic. I would like to run 33x12.50's. I want to keep it as simple and reliable as possible. This is my DD, and I wil put about 20K miles a year on it. I was thinking about a 1" spacer in the rear and a 1 3/4" in the front? Then going with spacers and stock wheels, or off-set steel wheels. Most of my miles will be highway, but I do some bow hunting, and do go off road. I'm also thinking of a body lift in the future. Will this work, and would you recomend any thing else?

Thanks for your input!!!

Congrats on your new jeep purchase. You will find a ton of useful info on this forum. If u just want to do a spacer lift, you should check out teraflexs kits. They have a leveling kit.which I believe is the 1.75 spacers.and they also have a 2.5" budget boost kit too. Then you can purchase some 1.5" wheel spacers to run the new wider tires that u want. I personally run the spidertrax spacers, had them on for 10k mile now with no problems

That all sounds good for 33's. might want to consider and oil pan skid. No factory protection there. EVO makes a great one. Good luck.

Like was said go with the teraflex leveling kit. For 33s there is no reason for a body lift. I've got teraflex 2.5" spring lift for a DD 20k a year. Mine rides great and got great milage until I put on the new tires lol.

If this is your first jk they are a totally different breed compared to the TJ. They can run 33s with no mods and 35s with very minimal. If you have a sport I'd only suggest new shocks or looking on eBay/the forum for shocks from a rubi. The ride difference is huge.

Teraflex leveling kit is very popular. I'm very happy with my Nitto Tera Grapplers. 28,000 miles and they look like they'll go at least another 20,000. 295/70/17's
