Old issue but WTF?!?!?!?
Been riding on a 1.75 lift for about 3 months now, no real issues other than a rubbing shock when turning right, however this was corrected today with an adjustable trackbar. the steering wheel was a little off but I told my shop I would handle it when I get home. All was well going down the road with no shock rub or thud sound but suddenly the ESP skid light comes on then goes off while I was pulling out. I thought ok maybe I slide on some gravel no big deal. About 4 miles later the light comes back on with the ESP and BAS light.
The rest of my day was spent centering my steering wheel, which I think is dead on balls accurate. I have read that you have to drive around for some time for the light to go off.
My question(s) are -

If these lights are on is there serious damage that could be done?
Does the lights on in affect turn these systems off?
(Just had new brakes installed 2 weeks ago)
How long do I need to drive before being concerned and going to my dealer?
(I work 35 miles away from home so tomorrow could be a good test)
Thanks for the help that I always get on here.

no damage will occur but i think you will be without ESP and BAS. sounds like you just need to either try centering the wheel again, or you havent driven enough. i think if you search the forums there is a post with the info for when the computer will reset the light.

I got that once and my jeep isn't even lifted yet. It was during the winter, and my tires were just low enough to piss off the TPMS, (they weren't that low, and I knew we'd have warmer weather very soon, so I didn't want to air them up more) and it threw a code. It just dinged, and the lights all came on. I drove the rest of the way to work, and they eventually came off, and haven't come on again. No biggie, at least in my case.

I'm taking it to a friend of mine who works at pepboys, he is going to check it out. He thinks the alignment is off. It makes sense, lift, new steering stabilizer, new trackbar I guess equals all sorts of things off kilter.
