Default OME: 2" HD or 3" LT

I have a 2010 4-door Rubi, I love the ride on the street. I do not plan on adding anything heavy to the front or rear. So do I get the 3" light duty, or 2" HD? W/o any extra weight, how much lift would I see from the 2" HD vs. the 3" LT? I did get a little info from searching...

Thanks!

I put the heavy kit on mine considering future bumpers upgrades and adding a winch. The ride is a little stiff right now but it's only been on 2 weeks. I also went to 35s, and there is some rubbing on the front bumper, nothing a stubby won't fix. Overall I .got 3.5" inches from the heavy kit.[IMG][/IMG]

on a two door with hd coils you can get 3.5" or so of lift

but with a four door and hd coils you'll be closer to 2-3"

there is a big difference between the long travel kit and the standard old man emu kit.

there is also a difference in coils, there are HD coils and standard coils.

so do some research, call david up at northridge and ask him these questions.

I have the unlimited with OME light duty 2 inch coils. They are great with 33 inch tires, but probably too smally for 35 inch tires. They ride nice, but as soon as you start adding weight they sag. (by weight I mean camping gear and family).

If you ever have any intention of bumpers/tire carriers or a lot of other extra weight jump up to the heavier coils.

Remark,
Yours looks great, I would like mine maybe an inch higher, but I don't want to give up the stock ride.

the higher you go the further you get away from the stock ride.

i have OME HD coils and LT shocks and it rides GREAT! far better than stock! i also used the RK wedges in the rear. mine is level and i think i got about 3.5" of lift. the ride is superb like i said. imo its not stiff. before with the level kit and the 35's it almost felt to "squishy". the ome springs fixed all that. they were a full coil longer in front and a coil and a half in rear, plus being thicker coils.
i would definately recommend on a 4dr the hd coils. it was northridges suggestion and i am glad he did.

What size tire do you want to run?
Are you going to do a lot of wheeling or just occasional lighter trail?

If you're going up to 33" tire and only occasional off road adventure go with the 616/617 coils.
If you're going to a 35" tire and wheeling it go with 618/619 coils and ideally the long travel kit from Northridge. David will set you up and give you straight answers. His long travel package includes pretty much what you need to wheel it on 35s and doing it all at once will save you some bucks. Remember the higher the go the more you need to add to maintain a quality ride (think control arms!).
