OME 2" lift
I'm considering this kit. It comes with 4 springs, 4 shocks and a front track bar bracket. I'm a little surprised there are no sway bar links. Should I be? My BB came with longer sway bar links and a rear track bar bracket, but not the front. Why the difference with the OME kit?
I want a smaller lift that will accomodate 33" tires. I don't need much of an increase in off road performance, I just want a kit that is structurally sound and limits any stress to other components. Will this one accomplish that?
Thanks

The OME 'HD' springs ( 3 - 3 1/2" lift ) are the ones you see talked about the most on here. (where you want the adjustables, new rear links/move rears to front, bump stops, ext brake lines, etc)
OME's lighter springs, that will give closer to 2", may not need the extras. (don't know, because I haven't seen any posts from folks with the light springs...)
Get the basic kit with lighter springs for the minimal lift you are looking for, then add pieces if/when you need them to tailor the ride to suit you.
(Not to jump on the Northridge bandwagon with everyone else - but check their site. Dave has put together several OME kits for us and has a lot of info to pass on to you.)

Another thought...
You could buy the OME and TF 2.5 w/o adapters or shocks.
The TF kit is the most complete kit for the least amt of $. You get brake line relocation brackets, a beefy frame mount rear track bar bracket, extended rear sway links(you move the factory rears up front) and bump stops front and rear.
You could then sell the 2.5" spacers and get back almost half of your $ spent on the TF kit.
Just a thought. Good luck with what ever you do....and post pics.

I have the OME lift (light load back, hd front) with no trackbars , no longer swaybars and stock Rubi. tires... I just came back from Moab, drove over 2000 miles on highways, off-road trails, drove in sand, rocks, and everything in between, most trails I have done were rated difficult ( up to 8.5 on the new scale)... and I can positively say the lift is great, I went everywhere the "big boys" were going, with no sweat and hardly any scraping, actually most people in my group were amazed how my little Rubi. made it look so easy... Of course I like to think the driver had something to do with it.
I have talked to a lot of very knowledgeable people regarding adding a track bar, including a 4x4 mechanic, but the offset is so small that it is really unnecessary. You might want to use the extra money for other things.

I had just done the OE 2" lift. I had the 616/617 spring combo which is probably the most common setup for those without Safari racks on the back. I skipped the track bars, the difference in track between front and rear is 3/4", I may do them next year. Rear brake lines on mine are too short at full extension, I would budget for a set of extended lines. The end links for the rear sway bar should be replaced with a set of adjustables and the stock rears can move to the front. My lift is about 3" all said and done. I am running 285/75/R16 AT on procomps with 4" backspacing. ride is pretty comparable to stock and no handling issues.
Good luck.

Greenamphibious - Yep, the dealership "fixed" the death wobble with a different heavy duty stabilizer (Pro comp I believe). I called the 4x4 shop Teraflex recommended (I had a 2.5" BB) and played dumb, like the problem was still happening. They said the first thing they would try is a heavy duty stabilizer.
I asked if they thought that was an adequate fix and they said "absolutely." So, since a $40 stabilizer is all that is between me and the ditch, I sold the damn thing back to the dealership! If they think it is fixed then they can deal with it and sell it to someone else. I'm forced to start over with my Jeep mods now....

this whole time I thought you had a lift.... didn't you buy control arms?
