I got the OME long travel kit From Dave @ Northridge and am very happy with it, and I actually wheel my jeep pretty hard. No issues at all.

I'm also going with 33's and most likely the OME 2" standard springs. Will the OME 2" standard lift level out my JK or will it maintain its factory rake?

I've been debating these two choices for quite some time now. Did tons of research on both kits, contacted manufacturers, compared them with other kits and finally narrowed it down to the OME kit. I have an 08 Unlimted Sahara which is a daily driver and want the better than stock ride (the roads here in this city are bumpier than a country road) and I don't think I'm ever gonna go larger than 33's. My plan was to go with the OME with standard coils that way I'd only get the 2 - 2.5" of lift that I want. I too wonder if this kit will reduce that front rake or whether I'll need the small spacers that the write-ups show using.

My only question is that I still am confused why the TF kit, basically nets the same height as the OME kit, yet the TF kit comes with the extended bump stops, rear links, and a trackbar relocation bracket. The OME kit doesn't come with these which makes me wonder why. I guess the TF kit is just a more complete kit than the OME kit and these "nice to haves" come standard with the TF kit. When you start adding on these nice to haves to the OME kit, you're really adding on an extra few hundred bucks. But I guess that's what happens when you own a Jeep!!!

The OME wont really level out the rake. I talked to an engineer at OME this time last year (when I was buying my TF kit). He said they consider the OME kit to be complete, and that nothing else is needed. Of course, talking to people here, you'd think you really need to upgrade everything else.

Regardless, I reused the stuff from my TF BB, and then added new trackbars and control arms. It's a great kit overall, even given the cost. (Buy it from Dave at Northridge too... it'll end up being a little cheaper, and the customer service is truly outstanding!!!!)

She drives MUCH better than before. I will say, though, you'll be spending a few hundred more bucks on the OME setup than you would with the TF 2.5" coil kit.

But, I would say if you have the $$, spring for the OME.
I know I went a bit Frankenstine here but I started out with the TF 2.5" BB, bought a JKS rear adjustable track bar and after putting a winch on the front and seeing the front bumpt stops almost hitting the stop, I bought the OME HD coils. Now, I have no idea why but the TF 2.5" coils are for some reason about $50 more than the OME.

With that said, I was still able to save money starting out with the TF BB, but IMHO the OME coils are sweet and they cost less, which is a plus!! They just about level er out with no problems.

My apologies for not adding pics, I'll be sure to add them soon for all of you scratching your head out there.

Not to be rude, but use the SEARCH feature. This is a very common topic.

BTW, I've helped you out...... see the following threads

I went with the Teraflex kit, and rode in an OME one afterwards. The OME rides much better, and I wish I would have gone that route and added front bump stops.

The ride with the OME was smoother is the best way to explain it. With the Tera kit with Rubi shocks (which I am sure is part of the problem) and the extra weight of bumpers usually after a good bump I bounce 2 or 3 times (but with bumpers I was also having this issue with the stock Rubicon suspension since I am heavier than what the shocks are designed for). In the highway the Tera kit also transfers more of the small vibrations to the interior constantly. The OME kit is a softer suspension, but the shocks do a better job with controling the initial bounce. Also with it being a bit softer the on highway performance doesn't reansfer all the small bumps and imperfections in the road to the cab. The OME one I have ridden in had the medium springs all around but no bumpers. I guess it isn't a big deal or cause any handling issues, but after a couple hours of a constant vibration you get fatgued faster.

As far as ride quality goes I have found that the AEV kit has the smoothest ride out of any suspension I have ridden in so far. Part of it is the stock arms with bushings that help to control the transmission of some of the vibrations, and part of it is the springs being progressive. Also the handling was much more precise feeling than mine (which is sad to say since it had 35" tires on a 16" wheel compared to my stock Rubi wheels) because of the drag link flip.
