Default OME Lift help

I have a budget boost lift right now and with my front bumper and winch my stock springs are hating their life pretty bad. Lol I wanna keep my lift around 2.5" as I don't do anything involving rocks, just usually light to medium wheeling, back country road, service roads, more of an adventure style rig I guess you could say.

I'm a little confused on OME coils and which ones I need to obtain the height I want which is about 2.5". The extra weight I plan on is my current JCR bumper and winch (135ish lbs), ACE rock rails (around 60lbs), and a rear bumper w/o carrier (65lbs, may change my mind of getting carrier though), and maybe a skid although I don't think I need them.

Thanks !

I have almost the exact setup your looking for. I have OME 2" lift, JCR front/rear with winch. After settling I am right at 2.5". My jeep is in the shop right now rebuilding the transmission. When I get it back I'll let you know which exact coils I have unfortunately I can't remember off the top of my head. I believe it was HD up front and MD in the rear. Just a word to the wise; even with a mild 2" lift there are some things I've added to make it a better ride. My caster was way off so I added front LCAs and I am putting new driveshafts this week while the tranny is out. If you just drive on the street they should be okay but if you really flex your suspension offroad it may tear your CV Boots (at least it did mine). Hope this helps.

I have a 2 door with soft top as well. Before added weight from bumpers/winch/skids I was just over 3". It will settle roughly 1/4-1/2" over time.

I have a 2 door jk with a hardtop. Stock bumpers with a warn m8000 winch and teraflex tire carrier. I don't have measurements but here's out it sits on ome 616 up front and 617 in rear without the trim packers (heavy front medium rear) with 285 16r tires. Hope this helps

I have the OME 2616/2617 coil spring combo in my 4 door. I'm replacing the 2616's for 2619's as i'm pushing too much weight for the 2616's, Stubby XRC mod bumper with bull bar and winch with steel wire, that's about 160lbs easy, Rockhard oil/trans skid (57lbs), plus ace rock sliders with Rubi rails (160lbs), in the back i have ORFab steel bumper and Smitty oversize tire carrier (95lbs). i also have the RK correction wedges in the back, and with them, and the weight i'm pushing in the front, my Jeep is 1" lower in the front, so the 2619's should put me level with my setup.

The 2616/2617 combo should give 2.25 in your 2 door and be about perfect for the weight you're thinking about, the 2616's are considered heavy duty springs for the 2 door (up to 190lbs), and the 2617's will be about perfect with a 90-100lbs rear bumper tops

Didn't forget about you. I'll take a look next week. Got my rebuilt transmission back Wednesday and took it back in this morning with a chattering TOB...and I'm leaving for EJS in the 16th!!

Hey sorry I forgot to post up my coils. I have the 616 up front and 617 in the rear. Flat fenders/ JCR bumpers and 35KM2s to give you an idea of how it looks.

The money used for new coils would be better spent on replacing the steel line with synthetic. Jeeps are typically about 1" higher in the rear so you can load it up with gear or tow a trailer

Default Ome 615/617

I installed OME 615/617 on my relatively lightweight JK last night. I added a .5" spacer to the front during the install to help level it with the added weight of the winch.
I don't want to post exact measurements until I've given the springs a few days to "settle", but so far I gained approx 2" rear and 2.5" front(with .5" spacer) from my factory hard rock springs.
I think with that much weight up front I would go with the 616/617. I went with the 615 b/c I didn't play on adding much more weight to the front, and the free length was actually longer than the 616's(I do like to rock crawl.)
