Default OME LT shock question - causing shimmy?

I installed OME LT travel shocks along with my TF 2.5" coil lift a few days ago. One thing that I noticed is that the nut on the top of the front shocks bottoms out (runs out of threads) before it really compresses the rubber bushing at all. Could this be causing a little up and down movement when I hit bumps and such?
I was having horrible death woble two days ago then I welded washers on the tb brackets to because the holes were egged out a little. Now I just get a little wobble and steering wheel shake for a coulple seconds after I hit a bridge expansion and such.
Could this up and down movement in my front shocks be causing that? Maybe that's what was initiating my death woble to begin with?
