Default Onboard Air

After wheeling this weekend...made me realize I need a few more parts ASAP! One is Disco(getting them this week) and the other is onboard air!

My question is has anybody ran the ARB compressors..High output or the compact and/or just save up and get the Warn Power plant since a winch is in the future also?? I'm worried about the Warn since I since I don't do a lot of rocks...just trails, lots of water and mud...you know!

i had the ARB compact on my TJ; was ok, but got hot real quick. i much rather like the co2 tank option i decided on. if your only concern with the Warn is it getting wet, why not just get one of those neoprene covers for it?

Sacdaddy, theres a compressor at Harbor freight for about $60 , and it's not too bad. You can hook it up tp your battery and air up. My compressor that is attached to my tank is about shot, I'm gonna replace it with the harbor freight one. If you can find a tank, it's really not that expensive to run on-board air.

I had the one from harbor frieght, worked ok untill it died on me. Now I have the red mf1050 from pepboys which is about the same price but is alittle faster. There are alot of post about this little red compressor and everybody likes it.

Default I just love my Off Road Only....

I love my ORO on-board air. This thing is the best. However as for the sealing of the Viair if you really want to go to electric. There are several models that they demo at shows in a fish tank running fine. You just have to make sure you buy the sealed models. Chris

My Sahar has ARB lockers so the ARB compressor was a double win for me. I had it installed under the drivers seat to keep it out of the weather. There is a quick disconnect for the air hose in front of the drivers seat. So far it has been great, then you would have an excuse to get lockers to go with it.....

That sounds like a good setup! Do you have the compact or high output compressor??
