Default Onboard Air Issue

I have the MV-50 (little red) compressor mounted in the engine compartment that is compressing really hot air. I have melted two different hoses and they are not touching the compressor, expect at the quick disconnect. The second hose is a fairly high quality from Home Depot.

Yesterday was not that hot out (92) sitting in a garage and working in a cold engine compartment. 10 minutes of re-inflating tires it melted a hole in the hose near the coupler.

Before I replace it, how can a keep this from happening again?

Thanks.

My MV50 is mounted under the hood and I haven't have that problem. Since I've converted mine to NPT fittings it may run a little cooler, but it still runs hot.

I would like to mount mine under the hood. Can somebody post a pick of how and where you mounted it?
Thanks
