Default Opinion with this set up?

Been a member since the day I bought my JK back in 07'. LOVE reading all the posts! I was just wondering what people thought it would look like with a 2.5" R.C coil susp.and a 1" body lift but running 16x8 285/75/R16wheel/tire combo. I don't want my wheel well filled with tire, but I do like the look of the tire sticking out. I am about to pull out the plastic card and start ordering since the "warden" gave me permission and I don't want her to change her mind. Any opinion would help.

285s? skip the 1" BL then. With that setup you could run 35s no problem

Which rims are you going with? That much lift could easily fit 35's, so you'll get the 'not filling the wheel well' look you want. That tire size isn't the widest you could find (11.3" or thereabouts instead of 12.5), but as long as there is no law about tires sticking out too far where you are, a 3.75-4 BS should give you the width you want.

35s your gonna start thinking about gears i dont think your warden has those kind of mods in mind$$$$$stick with 32-33s dont bother with the body lift at first see what ya think about the 2 1/2 before ya do the body lift or take the extra $100.00 and upgrade that lift!!!!!!

Why the body lift? guys go with body lift when they max out the suspension lift, and still need clearence for huge tires like 37s.

2.5 inch springs are the same price as 3 inch springs and my 3 inch Black Diamond springs gave me 4 inches.

The body lift is unnecessary.

As far as tire size goes, you need to get the correct back spacing or go with 35s to get them to stick out. The rest is your taste. I would jut lose the body lift.

This is me with 285/70/17 (33 inch) BFG on 3 inch Black Diamond springs. These tires are about half worn and measure 32 inches. Too small for me. i just installed 35 KM2s!

This is my set up. 2.5" TF BB with TF shocks, 16x8, 285/75/16
I like it, but after i wear out these tires I may go to a 305/75/16 of even a 315

I say go with a 2.5 RC BB w/ the 2.2 shocks.
Get the Teraflex rear track bar bracket, and and if the budget allows an adj trackbar for the front. Perfect for 33's.

I have the RC 2.5 BB and it was stiff as hell until I installed the TF rear drop bracket.
Now I am saving my pennies for a JKS adj bar for the front.

The spring kits are great but usually equate to more lift than advertised.
Which makes you want bigger tires... ... lower gears... ect.
Then your stuck in the downward spiral... the jeep disease.
