Opinion On Specific Lift Kit

Hey everyone i have a 08 JK 2DR 4WD. I am looking for a good lift kit that can withstand daily driving in NYC and wheeling on the weekends. I found this kit from skyjacker that lifts it about 3.5 inches. I am looking to run 33s heres the link for the lift kit. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16117_103X_R_PG.htmI was wondering if everything here is included or if i need to buy other things. And overall how well this kit is. OPINIONS AND ADVICE NEEDED, THANK YOU ALL - Anthony

A couple things:

I'm not sure because I have a 4 dr but on a 2dr lifting 3.5 inches might require you to replace drive shafts. So check on that before you buy.

Look at pics of 3.5 inch lift with 33's. I have a 3.5 inch lift with 35's. I think 33's might look a little small. But it's just my opinion.

Looked at the link real quick. Didn't see anything about brakeline extensions or dropped pitman arm.

The only experience I've had with skyjacker was years ago and their shocks were horrible but they might have fixed them.

Hope this helps, best of luck to ya!

Personally for what your lookin for, Rough Country's 3.5 runs about $500. It has everything you need and the ride is awesome!

Dude try going with terraflex or rough country or rock krawler. Skyjacker is nothing but trouble.

As the previous poster said...once you get into 3.5" plus lifts you are going to get into a lot of other items to make the Jeep drive properly. Adjustable control arms, new drive shafts, track bars, etc..

To run 35s all you need is a 2.5" lift so 33s will for easy. Plus 33s on a 3.5" will look weird IMO.

Go with teraflex. Their products are great and their tech support and customer service are great.

I started out with This Skyjacker lift, and I can tell you it will be a stiff ride. The lower control arms are not long enough to fix your caster. Your steering will be sketchy. The only thing I have left under my JK from this lift are the shocks and spring, And by fall they will be gone too.
I hate to discourage you, but I would seriously look towards Teraflex, Full traction, AEV, or OME.

Look at the Rusty's lifts. Great quality for the price

My first post ...
I'm new to lift kits too, my mechanic recommends a Rough Country 2.5" lift kit for my 2010 Unlimited. Is Rough Country a quality lift?

I took everyones advice and decided maybe to go with a 3" instead of 3 1/2" I want to run 33's because like i said it goes back and forth to nyc everyday and i also dont feel like doing gears. I looked at teraflex because everyone seemed to dislike skyjacker. What does everyone think of this kit? http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_0001.htm All links and personal expeirence would be nice. I will be doing a 33 inch tire with 17x9 with a 4.5" backspacing. And in you opinions will a 3 inch lift look weird with 33's?

Check out this kit from Rough Country. It's a more complete kit and is way cheaper. I'm pulling the trigger on this one by the end of the month.
