Default opinion on tires...

Currently have stock 255/75/17 SRA's and I'm running about 2.75" higher than stock with different springs plus a levelling kit. I intend to keep the stock wheels and have 1.5" spidertrax spacers that I haven't installed yet. My jeep is used 95% on road and I have a 30 mile commute in DFW traffic.

I'm looking at two essentailly new (but technically used) set of tires. 285/70/17 terra grapplers, $600 for 4 with 2k miles or 265/75/17 BFG M/T's with about 8k miles, $400 for 4.

I am personally leaning towards the Nitto's as I want a larger tire and think I'll like the AT better for my commute, but the price is better on the BFG's.

Opinions?

Id go with the nittos. Theyre going to be much better for your 30 mile commute but still good when you want to have some fun.

The Nitto Terra is a great street tire, but off road won't hang with the BFG MT. The Nitto Trail is awesome on and off road. I commute 50 miles a day on 37s and no complaints.

I got Nitto terras and love them. Great on and off road! Good in mud, and surprisingly comfortable crawling too!
