Looking for rims and tires for my 2013 jk sport. Should I go with 15" mb tko's with bf Goodrich km2 35/12.5/15 or 16" mb tko's with dick cepek mud county 315/75/16. Also on the 16 in rim considering hankook dynapro mt, kumho road venture mt or the Yokohama geolander mt plus. I want the bf Goodrich km2s but I can't afford them in a 16 inch rim size. Wondering if it is better to go with a 15in rim to get them.
Thanks guys. This decision is driving me nuts!!!

If you really want the tire go for it. The rim size more of a personal preference IMO (maybe depending on hard wheeling you could have a size argument) but if you like the tire that much I say go for it.

I'd go with at least a 16 inch wheel. Some 15's won't fit over the brakes on the JK's. You will have a much, much wider selection of 16 inch wheels.

I went through this before setting on a 17 rim with 35s. If you are considering 35 inch tires, the price of the rims for a 15 inch will be offset by the tire mostly.

So for arguments sake a 35 on a 15 inch rim will be about 80-100 bucks less than a 17 inch rim (this is a generalization and my personall conclusion). I thought I might go to a 37 some day, so I chose the 17 inch rim and paid the extra 400 or so bucks in my tire/rim choice. I went with a 17in Tracker 8 from Discount and Fierce Attitude MT (which is a Duratrac hull with mud tred).

A new 15 inch alloy rim will cost you about 80-100 bucks you saved on the tire, unless you go steel. I'm guessing your stock rims are 16's and in that case you'll need some wheel spacers to run that 315/75/16. I personally went into a store and looked the tires side by side.

The KM2 35 will look like a big 33 and the DC 315 will probably seem like the bigger tire. Go have a look if you can first. All the talking in the world is not the same as seeing them.

15" steel wheels.... The caliper quite often has to be grinded down a bit. Apparently not so with a 15" aluminum wheel.... Had a link can't find it. If go with the 16" wheel myself.... I know money is always an issue lol but love my MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ's and my friends TOYO OPEN COUNTRY MT's

I went with a 15 rim and 35 tires cause its all I could afford at the time, you are limited to only a few rim choices and I had to grind the calipers but that was no big deal for me.

Right now I have the stock 17" wheels with the goodyears that come on them. I was going to go down in rim size to afford a better tire. I can get 16 inch rims just not the km2s cause there around 350 a piece. I'm putting in a teraflex 2.5 budget boost this week. I won't need wheel spacers right?
