Default Opinions on tailgate stopper

Which is better? Or will last longer?

The tailgate strut: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=41525

Or the tailgate stopper: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=8973

Opinions please.....

Have seen neither up close, but the strut looks like a good idea. The one that JeepSwag makes looks a bit beefier though,

I have the Woods.

Excellent design. Robust and looks factory. If your handy it's a fairly simple install. It's one of my favorite mods so far. This is the one to get.

I couldn't be happier with mine. It's a much cleaner install than the one from 4wd. Woods has a reinforcing bracket that distributes the load on the tailgate too. I've had mine installed for a little less than a year now. I highly recommend the one Woods designed!

I'm not running either but if I were you the Woods strut would be my choice...I can't run it cuz my Off Road Evolution Trail Table is in the way.
