Well I tryed to install a Optima yellow top battery and the thing will not fit I installed the tabs that come with the battery I do not need the battery moving around. I went to there web sight and thay show no listing for the JK but I see that some have installed the yellow top in there JK. Does some one have a new part #.

 

Mine looks exactly like dr. dirty's. No issues. Just picked it up at Adavanced Auto Parts and they installed for free in 5 minutes.

 

Is it one of these new Optima's that are all yellow not just the top?

 

No just yellow on the top. And did you install the Gray tabs on the bottom that snap in place before you installed. That mod # do you have?

 

Take everything off the battery and use the grey piece that has a semi curculare cut out in it with the stock bolt to hold it down. It will fit just fine, mine is nice and snug.

I put a red top in mine and it was the exact same size and fits like stock.
