Default Options for storage in JKU?

I've done a few searches, and don't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to find what kind of options that are out there for general storage that integrates well into the Jk.

I'm aware of all the smittybilt stuff, and the under seat "gun" boxes, but at one point I saw some bags that went above the wheel wells in the back, and just basically looking for ways to better distribute my huge bin of safety, survival, and recovery gear that goes in the back right now.

So... what you got?

I got a locking trailer tong box from harbor freight and bolted it down in the back. It works great I can lock all valuables in it when the soft tops down and don't have to worry, it's also big enough to hold my tow rope, tool box, air compressor, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I've got the jeepswag dirt bagz, and I bolted a plastic rifle box to the ceiling of the jeep above the cargo area; it's out of site and holds a lot of stuff, and I bolted a plastic tool box in the location of the former muffler. That leaves the floor open for the 3 dogs.

I should have been more clear... didn't say what my actual goal was in this!

I've got a dog... he likes to come along, and I'm mostly trying to clear out the floor in the back space so that he has more room.

Right now I've got a big rubber bin with everything from socks & jackets to chains & straps in & on it that is strapped to the back of the seat, and I'm thinking that I want to get that stuff into individual compartments, off the floor so that it's organized, and so that he's got some space!

Jonesy's not the biggest dog... but I want to give him some more space! He goes everywhere with me, and this is the first vehicle where he doesn't sit in the seat, I just feel it's safer having him back there.

THAT (dirt bagz) is exactly one of the things I was thinking of & couldn't find! Sweet!

I still have more than those will hold, but that's one of the things I was hoping to find. I think my recover gear at least could fit in those two.

When you say you bolted a rifle box, got any pics of that? I'm trying to picture this (I also wheel without the top most of the summer, so if you mean to the hard top I suppose that won't help me too much in the season.

You see, I'm a steel stud & drywall estimator/ PM, and I'm allergic to dealing with steel studs in my off time, so unfortunately That mod is out!

Actually, just looked like a lot of work, and I'm what you would call "lazy"...

btw, if anyone around here ever wants to build that I've got plenty of materials around, and happy to toss folks what they need to do this in 2-1/2", 3-5/8" or 6" material. (and I've got tons of spare plywood in my shed)

Not for you, then. But, it's a lot of concealed, "general storage that integrates well into the Jk".

Oh it looks great! I've just got less time on my hands than I'd like, and living at 9k in the winter, not having a heated area to work outside the house diminishes my motivation. In the summer I may have considered it, and still might next year if I start carrying more spare parts. (now that I HAVE spare driveshafts, I'm sure to need them at some point if I leave them at home.)

I had the same issue with storage and a place for my dog. Since I rarely have more than 2 people, I decided to remove the rear small seat.

Here is what I came up with

I also ordered (yet to install) the Buckle Up Pup, which will be mounted to the box.
