Default Ordered K&N Filter

I have had both drop in and CAI on different vehicles and desided that for $50.00 I would try out the drop in and see if I like it. The stock one is pretty thick and can't possibly let much air through. Ordered it from K&N website and hope to have it by friday. We'll see............................................... .

Glad I'm not the only sucker, I mean person. I have always used and like K&N products so I'm sure this will be the same.

Amazon has the filter for $47.17 with free shipping. I didn't even know you could order directly from K&N, but I imagine Amazon is cheaper anyway.

Any noticeable differences between the CAI and the K&N?

The K&N is quiter than the Air Raid. I don't know about performance gain, because I put the cat back on when I put the stock airbox back in with the K&N. I sold my Air Raid to a guy in my Jeep club who has a 2dr X on 35's and 3.21 gears. He needed it! I didn't want an open element filter anymore because of the possibility of water getting on it!

I have had mine for a few weeks now and have not noticed any power gain or mpg increase.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now too. No noticable mpg increase and no real power gain. The engine does seem a little smoother during acceleration though.
