Ordering new axle....some help
I’ve made the decision to regear and Ive noticed that for the cost of the install/e locker/parts...I can upgrade to a Dana Spicer Dana 44 with 4.56 already installed. I’m trying to get ready to order the parts but I’m really confused on the spline. Here’s the info on the one I found with best price.
Axle Model: DANA 44
Gear Ratio: 4.56
Traction Device: Electronic Locker
Mounting Bracket Included: Y
Brakes Included: N
Axle Shaft U Joint Series: 1350
Axle Shaft Material: Chromoly
Inner Axle Shaft Spline Count: 30
Outer Axle Spline Count: 32
End Yoke Style: Companion Flange
Drive Shaft U Joint Series: 1310
Package Qty: 1
Also will it matter what company I choose for the rear gears?

This is causing the confusion?
Up front, there are two shafts per side. The inner set insert into the carrier/locker area in the diff/pumpkin, then the outer/stub shafts are out by the tires/brakes. Ujoints connect the inner and outer shafts. In the rear, there is just a single shaft per side since that axle doesn't need to steer.
From the factory, the spline numbers are:
Rubi front d44 - 30 spline inner / 32 spline outer
Rubi rear d44 - 32 spline
Non-rubi d30 front - 27 spline inner / 32 spline outer
Non-rubi d44 rear - 30 spline
So when you look at front lockers, you match to the spline count on the inner shafts that go into the carrier, not the stub shaft out by the tires/brakes. For that new front d44, it will be a 30 spline locker, and since your rear d44 is the non-rubicon version, it also uses 30 spline shafts.
(I am not up to speed on that axle, is there an option of factory rubicon spec'd housing which uses the factory e-locker, and also a standard d44 that uses the aftermarket Eaton e-locker?)

This simple answer is yes. Spline count really matters when you're upgrading axle shafts or just a locker so that you can buy something compatible with existing equipment if necessary. Since the whole thing is a package you don't need to worry about it really. the 32-spline on the outer shaft will fit right in to your current unit bearings at the knuckle. What Nthinuf is asking is if you have the choice of which locker you get with the axle (standard rubi or an even better eaton locker), but I don't believe you get the choice with that axle. Pretty sure you get the standard 2-pin rubi locker.
Brand of gears for the rear don't matter in regard to having to match the front. They just need to match as far as set....so in this case 4.56. Depending on where you regear it the shop might have their own preference on brand of gears they use, typically determined by their cost/profit margin if you ask me. Yukon and G2 are probably the most common names you'll see.

If you are upgrading an axle, Go With an Ultimate 44, Core 44, Pro Rock or Rock Jock with A 35 spline inner. In 35 spline, you can get either Chromoly U Joint or CV shafts. If you do go off road, a CV shaft won't have the bind that a U Joint shaft has but the CV shaft (RCV) is significantly more expensive.
