Default Ordering Wheels and Tires - Need Expert Confirmation

Is this a correct combo? Will be running 4" lift (Teraflex or FTS) and flat fenders if needed.

Raceline Beadlocks:
RT231-AL
RT231-79550-AL -79550-AL 17x9.5 5x5 4" backspace

Toyo Open Country MT
37X13.50R17LT

I'm thinking 4" bs is correct to not need spacers?

Thanks!

of-course 5.13 gears, C gussetts and axle sleeves will be going on it too. We'll see how long I can make the stock rubi e-lockers last.

You may want a set of BW flat flares to help out with the flex a little if you plan on hitting rocks or difficult obstacles.

Don't forget abotu brake lines!

The only red flag I see is the wheels are too wide for wheeling.

How so? He is looking at putting a 13.5" wide tire. Seems like mist have a rim that is 8"-10" wide with 8 being the norm it seems. Most I've read have back spacing from 4.5" to 3.75"?

Can you fill in the details as to what you mean?

He means that the rim width is to wide for wheeling not backspacing width. The narrower the rim, the better bead you'll keep when aired down. 8" or 9" is optimum in my opinion. Even if you run a 10" wide wheel you can still kick a trails ass but run a greater risk of popping your bead.

That was kind of my point. Most here run an 8" rim with a 12.5" wide tire. I think a 9" rim would be perfectly acceptable for a 13.5" tire.

I'm not a fan of 10" wide rims.

The Beadlocks will help with breaking beads with the wider rims. But, the wider wheel will be weaker than the 8" wide wheel. I have personally bent quite a few 16x10" wheels. Used to order them 5 or 6 at a time. These JK's are heavy, and could bend the centers with extereme wheeling. Offroad the tire runs better (I M O) on a narrower rim. It isn't too wide for the 8" for the street either. Just requires setting the pressure for the correct tread pattern on the road.

Just for the record. I'm running 37x13.50x16's on 16x8's. When I was on the stock axles, I ran the 5" backspacing wheel with 1.5" wheel spacers... (3.5" total backspacing) and I still had to restrict the front steering due to tire/frame contact even before flexing. The 10" wide rim with 4" of backspacing should produce the same result (tire/frame rub)

A 9.5 inch wide wheel is fine for a 13.50 inch wide tire.

What size rim for a 14.5 wide tire
39.5x14.5x17?!??
I don't think an 8 inch rim would work
