This is what reduces the jarring feeling when hitting bumps with a lifted jeep. Think of a wheel barrel. When roll forward with the handles high and a steep angle between your hands to the axle. And try to co over a curb. It is difficult right? But if you lower the handles so that the pegs are just above the ground and the angle is minimal, you can more easily get over those bumps. The drop brackets do exactly that while also correcting castor. Will you ride suffer? You just have to try it and let me know because I'm running the same setup with the AEV brackets... LOL!! I plan to remove my drop brackets but have been lazy!
Are you having issues with the axle being too far forward? Is that why you need to remove them?

Fwiw, i set the RK uppers the shortest they could go which was 19 1/4 Lowers had to be set to 23 5/8 to achieve 4° caster. Honestly, the lowers alone will work just fine unless you want to move the axle forward some.
The axle is already forward too much. With both the brackets and lowers. It makes contact with my sway bar slightly, and my track bar brace. It's anywhere from 1/2" to 1" too far forward. I've thought about modifying my brackets to accommodate the length I need. I need someone who has dealt with them to see if it would work out alright. I'd like to weld on an extension and brace it of course and then add a hole about an inch back.

Cut the upper arms down to stock. The lowers will go to 23" i believe. This will give to stock length to .25+

I am, I have a few welder friends so maybe I can get one of them to weld an extension on and I can make it work that way too. It would be just for fun, just to see if it's possible.

I ended up keeping the drop brackets and cutting the upper and lower control arms. They have an insane amount of threads Both on the joint side and the control arm itself. Cut about an inch off the lower arm, 1/2" off the joint side. The uppers I cut about an inch, and I think I need to cut another 1/2" off and about 1/4-1/2" off the joint side. Castor is around 4 and its a hair too flighty. Not bad and certainly manageable, but not in the sweet spot.
