Default ox locker

anyone know of or tried to install an ox locker in a jk?

Supposedly it will work. I would like details. I emailed ox, but have no patience.

This is the main mod (even before a lift) that I want to make.

"Extreme 4x4" put one in for Quadratec on the show. I saw the replay today. It looked like it worked out fine.

Yeah, I saw the show, that is what got me going.

It is tv, so who knows how long it took or what mods had to happen. They also installed teraflex rock rails, the ones I got were the wrong ones, 2dr or an older wrangler.

Okay, I just talked to George from OX and this is the response they gave regarding some of the questions you guys have been asking here...

Hello this is George from OX USA. I want to clear up a few questions about our lockers in the JK. Based on what we currently know-NO IT WILL NOT FIT. Due to a change in the position of the ring gear in these new D44’s the RG is off by .340”. Which means that the RG and PG will not mate properly. The only way to get it to fit is to shave the .340” off the RG and then everything is fine. R&P Gear guys will recommend you DO NOT do that.
Our solution to all of this is an additional version of our D44 locker that is specifically designed to fit these axles. There was a lot of questions and mystery that surrounded these new 44’s and as a result you are just now seeing things come out that fit them. Assuming we are able to modify the current forging to allow for the necessary changes, I estimate that it will be about two months before this new locker is out.

Over the last two years the increasing popularity of our lockers has been unbelievable and we have Jeep owners to thank for it. We are grateful for the confidence many of you have placed in our products and we plan on returning that loyalty. I am traveling a lot right now, if you have any other concerns or questions please feel free to contact me. I will attempt to stop in here when I can.

Hope this helps some of you out.

Default Thanks

George responded to my email to customer support at ox usa within 24 hours letting me know this info, then he asked what forum I was looking around in, then he came here and cleared things up.

Thanks for being honest, fast and informative!

Looking forward to getting this when released. He also mentioned the posibility of an electric actuator instead of cables. I prefer the cable, but some out there might like the convienence.

Will the OX lockers work with the Dana 30 front axles on the Sahara's and the X?
