Parked my jeep in valet and no engine code was on. Trust me I'm OCD with my jeep and the engine light wasn't on when I gave it to them. Went to pick up the jeep, line was long about 5 cars in front of me. Once it pulled up I hopped In and almost tipped the dude when I noticed the engine light was on, also I noticed my temp gauge was at half, it's 30 degrees here in Denver and I know there is no way my engine could warm up that fast with a 1 min drive from the lot to the valet. The jeep had to of been parked for 6 hours as I was at a Christmas party. Told the guy that drove it why it's on and he got snotty with me saying "well you must have took it off roading today,its a lifted jeep man, this happens all the time"... I said no, it's brand new, i wheel it all the time and I've had jeeps for years and it never goes on... He said he would send his manager. Waited 30 min and the dude dissapeared and manager never showed up.... So I called and filed a complaint.

So does anyone know what could cause the code of p0108? The jeep was a dog above 3k rpm then after 10 min light went off. Got home, shut it off and started it again and it never came back... Just want to know what it is and what could cause this......

 

the Code is for the MAP sensor. I would just see if it comes back then follow up with the dealership it is does. did you just take a trip to a lower altitude? if so it could be just that. If you need the troubleshooting shhet send me a PM with your email.

 

maybe the valet guy never shut the jeep off and it idled for 6 hours??

 

Or maybe the valet guy took a trip to a lower latitude!

Or maybe he was just being a nice guy and started your Jeep up earlyer so when the customers get in its nice and warm.. and then a random code showed up. If I were him I would have told you to fuck off and get your Jeep checked out after all you said its new and there are always probs with new cars.

mine warms up pretty fast on the temp gauge. was your gas level the same when you picked it up vs when you dropped off? how about your ave mpg? if left idling all day that should be way down.

 

Why would you let some random person drive your jeep anyway? : p
