Default P0430 code after a lift?

Hey guys,

I have a question that I'm hoping you can all help me with. I recently installed a 2.5 inch rough country suspension lift kit on my 2007 4 door rubicon. everything went on smooth but a couple of days after i installed the lift i got an engine light that turned on. I did the on-off-on-off-on ignition thing and it gave me a P0430 code. My understanding is that it is a code related to the catalytic converter or a 02 sensor reading or something. My question is how installing a lift could have caused an issue with that? I never even touched anything related to the exhaust.

I will also mention that i have removed the front sway bar links and zip tied the sway bar to the frame while i wait for my new extended links. I don't feel this has anything to do with the issue but thought I would just include the info.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I think they are unrelated. How many miles do you have? I woould guess around 60,000.

Anyone have any other thoughts on if there is any correlation between the installation of the lift kit and the engine code? Or is everyone in agreement that it was purely a coincidence?

Most likely a coincidence, but some wires may have been bumped during the work.

Here is a list of things that will throw this code:

P0430-CATALYST EFFICIENCY (BANK 2)(Left bank)
