Default Paint hard top

Are you able to paint the stock black hard top so it doesn't fade into the dull gray?

Another good option! If it scratches just add more.

On a similar note/question to painting it. Does anyone have suggestions or ways to fix the hard top where it begins to crack? I seem to be having this problem near the bottom corner by the window when it keeps getting taken on and off.

I've had mine repaired and painted due to a traffic accident, but it was a shop that did the work. They painted it a flat black, which looks better than when it was new (a hair bit more glossy than the factory flat finish).

They tried just blending the area of the repair, but you could see the difference (the back passenger corner). So then they just painted to whole thing. Sorry, but I don't have any pictures.

Go to west marine and purchase the west system fiberglass kit. Sand the area and drill the end of the crack to prevent spreading. Use fiberglass cloth on the inside to add reinforcement, and use a thin spread of resin on the outside to fill the crack and the hole you drilled. Sand smooth and paint.

Thanks a lot for the info. I will try and give this a go when I finally get some free time.
