Default Paint on mopar rails?

I was wondering what type of paint to use on my stock step-bars, since they faded to that awful grey.

Any suggestions??

If you mean the oem rails, try krylon paint for metal and plastic. Make sure you wipe it good with like rubbing alcohol and you should be good. Test a spot like underneath before doing the whole thing just to make sure.

Yes, is there any other prep work involved?

As long as its very clean of any dirt and other oily residue it should be ok. That's why I would recommend testing a spot first to ensure you get the results you are looking for.

Default Krylon Satin Black

Use a green Scotch-brite pad if they aren't rusty. Bought a pair of Rubi rock rails for my Sport that had surface scratches/fade and the Scotch-brite pad/Krylon Satin Black did the trick. Be sure to prep with denatured alcohol or the like after the Scotch-brite treatment and before painting.
