Default Paint Procomp wheels

I have the procomp 8179 wheels, they are gloss black with silver/chrome trim around the outside. Has anyone every painted them? I saw some of the 7069 series rims and really like the flat black instead of the gloss.
I was thinking I might try painting mine to the flat black.

OR if anyone has the 7069's and want to trade for 8179s I have, I'd be willing to do that.

so long as you prep it right, you shouldn't have any problems painting them. it's keeping them looking nice after the fact that is hard.

Painting is easy. Prep is everything. If it takes an extra hour per rim so what
