Default Painting fenders and rocker knockers question (using clear or not??)

Ok, so i have etched primed then painted my fenders and rocker knockers with a rustoleum textured black finish rattle can spray. My question is should i matte clear them?? I would have done powdercoat but i wanted to be able to touch up when needed without the headache of the not matching powdercoat. So bottom line do i matte clear the fenders and rocker knockers?? Has anyone had any problems with matte clear turning the black paint white?? I don't want to mess up the paint on these as the black is looking good. Any words of wisdom would be great. Thanks for the help!!!

Problem with a Matte/Satin finish is it will stain from mud and dirt due to the porosity of the paint compared to a gloss finish.

So you're saying don't use a Matte clear finish and just leave it the textured black finish with no clear??

Since I'm using a rustoleum textured finish and not a Bedliner should I spray Bedliner on top of it for better protection or just leave it at the textured finish? Thoughts

Skip the bedliner- it is tough to keep clean. I bedlined my rear bumper and just did some satin black paint on the front bumper. It hasn't been long enough for me to give you any long term advice on the clear/ no clear option. So far (a month) the paint still looks better than the bedliner did after a month.

I wouldn't clear coat it. Seems like a waste when your gonna end up touching up often if you wheel it.
