Default Painting the inside of LED light bars

Has anybody painted the inside of their light bars? I'm not a big fan of the chrome and was wondering if anybody has painted the inside black and if they have what paint they used.

I did it on my friends light bar but I used plasti dip so I didn't have to worry about paint getting on something I didn't want it on.

Do you think I should use some kind of paint with a metallic finish?

Honestly we just used plan dull plasti dip and it was still bright. You could also just paint the outside of the Chrome and leave the inside of the cone part chrome.

The pics in that thread look a lot better after being painted, but isn't painting the cone portion going to reduce the light pattern?

I wouldn't think so considering KC and RC both sale light bars with the black inside. I'd like to see someones with them painted.

Painted the mine to color match the color of the jeep, I'll post some picks when i get the chance. I used penny's or nickels (I don't remember) to cover the holes. Removed the coins before letting it dry, if you don't remove the coins they will dry and crack the paint when you remove them. I did all my light's this way a few years ago and paint is still holding strong, make sure you prime before hand, paint will attach better. NO difference on light output. Just make sure you use a good sealant to seal the lights back up. This is what i used and got it at the home depot runs about 6 dollars + tax.
