Default Passenger side seat mod

Has anyone modified the passenger's side seat (in a 2 door) to make it slide farther up to make the rear seat more accessiable? I didn't a search, but came up empty. I'm thinking about trying something, just wondering if anyone had already tried this. Thanks.

I asked this question a few months back and no one has tried anything back then. Didn't hear of any aftermarket products yet either.

Let us know if what you try worked. I was hoping for something of a up and forward solution.

One of the things that annoys me most about the invention of the 4dr Wrangler. On TJ's, the seats folded *WAY* forward on this little trapese setup. It worked awesome.

However, when the JK came out, Chrysler did away with this. Why? So sales people could say "Oh, you want to use the back seat, well for 4k more you can buy this Unlimited with four doors!"

One of these days I want to see if I could modify the TJ seat setup to work in a JK.

I removed my passenger seat about a month ago. Thought of just about everything I could. Determined it wasn't easily done, without finding some sort of other tracks to bolt to the seat base that would allow the back to tilt like the TJ. If i remember right I could redrill holes and gain about an inch more forward travel, but lose the inch in sliding it back. Didn't seem very useful for the time it'd take for the 1".

I looked at it for a good hour after it was unbolted...came up with nothing really..

I fixed it by buying a 4 door for the wife and for me when I need to haul people around.

So now there is no rear seat in the rubi
