Default Patch holes in dashboard

I measured once and had to cut twice, then got a little over-zealous with the dremel. Aside from "more switches" does anyone have a suggestion on how to patch or cover up?

Is there some metal plate with cool engraving?

Yep- aluminum plate with an engraving would be your best option there. I thought the same thing after a 3/4" hole in my dash.
