It actually sticks out about 6" less than the stock plastic bumper. The backside of the main plate running across the front of the bumper actually sits flush against the frame rails, so if you want this or any bumper to stick out less, you'd have the remove a few inches from your rails and weld the OEM mounting plates back on.

Is anyone running a aftermarket skid plate with this bumper? I like the bumper but want to find the right skid to protect my rubicon swaybar disconnect motor.

Thanks in advance!

Here is what I am running for an ESD Skid...

It is the bottom plate in the picture only, simple to install and will take a beating.

I've been eyeing up this front bumper too as a future addition to my Jeep. After seeing the pics posted here, I can't help but think a piece of 3/16 flat stock would look better in front of the grill rather than the OEM flimsy plastic one. It just looks out of place to me. Other than that, it's a great looking bumper and very simple!

If you mount a winch, you have to remove the top side plastic. The bottom side plastic has to come off for this bumper to go on. With mine, you cannot really see between the winch and the grill as it is almost a flush fit. It was really easy to install - Really easy. The only difficult part was getting the factory nuts off the OEM bumper. Once they were off, it was a 15 minute job - 10 minutes were de-installing and re-installing the factory fogs. Just putting on the bumper was 5 minutes - 8 bolts. The winch and plate was about an hour job total, with the most difficult part being the wiring. If I had not put all four winch bolts on when i mounted it to the plate, but before the plate was on the Jeep, causing me to have to take it back off, it would have taken much less time. If you mount the winch, wire the winch BEFORE you put it on the plate. Then only install the two rear bolts holding the winch to the plate. The front bolts run through the bumper and plate into the winch. I wish someone had told me that.

they are super basic but if i can put the factory fogs in, some d rings, im done.
What is the fixation with the factory fogs? They are neither effective driving lights nor fog lights. In this case the bumper is cheap enough, but I can't for the life of me understand spending over $1,000 on a bumper and popping in the crappy mopar lights. (End of rant).
