Default Performance Time...Where to start???

To start off....Yes i know gears will do the most for me but that isnt in the cards right now.

For those that have an opinion please voice it.

I want to start working on the engine and performance of my Rubi but do not know which place is the best to start. What order do you think these 3 should come in....

- Intake/Snorkel
- Exhaust
- Hypertec/Chip

Personally I would go exhaust first then intake (They really work together)---or-- do the hypertech. I have read in other threads that Hypertech them-selves say that the JK will run really lean if you have aftermarket intake and exhaust and then add the programmer.

You will not feel a bit of difference with any of those "performance" mods. I have airaid intake/spacer, flowmaster exhaust and a Jet Chip 1. + 4.88 gears. Just save up for new gears. All the chip, intake, exhaust do is make more noise. If you would like a like new intake with spacer for a good price I will sell you mine.

None of those things are going to give you what you're looking for! They just don't deliver. The only thing that may be worth it to do is a snorkel. That's if you hit deep water regularly, or like to play in the mud. All of the money that you're going to throw at that stuff will get you really close to the price of gears.

The computer corrects all this stuff after a while. The first week may be good, but the rest of the time will be back to normal.

I would get a K&N drop-in filter, a Flowmaster 40, and the Hypertech. I've had a JET chip and the reviews across the internet are the same, regardless of vehicle
