Pics of JK with no front bumper?
Does anyone have pictures of a JK with no front bumper? Reason I ask is that I will want to flat tow it and want to know in advance what's underneath to tie into. Don't want to use the typical brackets made by tow bar companies since they would reduce the approach angle. Is there still a large tube that passes through both frame rails? I used this to tie into for my tow bar attachment point on my TJ.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I have messaged Brad Kilby about towing with his new JK front bumper since he has a motorhome. He said they fabricated a bracket for his tow bar that attached to the two big shackle mounts that are part of his new bumpers. He is checking with his product liability company to see if he can sell this adapter.
I think I might go with the Mopar tow bar for now. I need to start towing my JK right after it gets here next week and it seems like the most cost effective solution for now. It's not as nice as my Roadmaster tow bar setup, but it will work until some other choices become available.

Haven't ordered a new Wrangler yet but probably will after the new year. It's a ways off but I want to be prepared to tow right away for vacations. I've got a Blue Ox tow bar as well. See this thread for other Jeepers who want to flat tow.

I think a poll asking how many of us would buy a bumper with the option to hook up to a tow bar for flat towing might be in order. This way the bumper manufacturers who hang out here will get a feel for the market. There's more of us RVer's out there than I thought.
