Default Pinch seam and 35s question

I am aware that this question has prob been asked A mill times but I cannot find and definitive answers. I have an 11 JKU. I just got 35 inch km2s. Is it necessesity to cut the pinch seem? Or can I go off roading without fear id that dreaded spot destroying my tires???

Depends on what brand and size lift you have..I have a 3.5 Rock Krawler lift with 35's and no I don't have to trim pinch seam

Yeah I just installed some rubi rails on mine and trying to find the best way to cut them. Don't know why they made them so long

I know a guy running NO lift and 35s. He took his fenders off, and has 17x7 wheels w/ 4.25" backspace. No rubbing whatsoever.

Do you guys think I could just bolt on my new 315/70/17 Duratracs on blackrock 909s 17x8 with 4.5" of backspace on my 2012JK and tool around on pavement?

I have a 2.5" lift and 35" KM2's and it rubs on the Rubi rails at full stuff. Gonna use a sawzall to trim the pinch seem and rails about 2"

It takes all bout an hour, including removing and reinstalling your rails, it is worth it, much cleaner look and no worries about ruining your expensive tires. just do it
