They can be cut without a sawsall, I used a jigsaw and hacksaw. Takes more time, but works.

Get a rockkrawler mid arm kit that moves axle back 1" then no need to cut!

Use an enamel white either duplicolor or rustoleum and then make sure you use an enamel clear coat as to insure it doesn't yellow. enamel on enamel... I'll be doing this in a week or so with black and clear coat.
