Pinch Seam Mod/ Super hips/ C Bushing Questions
Is the pinch seam trim necessary with 35's and the 2.5 coil lift? I just added the tires to mine and the seam looks really close, but I haven't flexed any yet.
How do you disable tpms with the Superchip? All i can do is set the pressure @ 26 psi+
which is useless
I noticed one of bushings on the bottom of my C is going out.
Opinions about best options for replacing wanted.

The rear axle moves up and back a bit during articulation, so it generally is not an issue with 35's. But it wouldn't hurt to flex and check just to be safe.
Yep, you have to download it seperately. And be sure to click the 'i agree' box.
Are you referring to the lower balljoint?

If you don't flex then there's no need to chop the pinch seam, but I know you flex- so you probably want to work on cutting it back some.
You have to goto the SC updater program on the computer with the FP plugged into the computer and download the program then it's under one of the advanced options.
C's- no effin clue

Is it sawsall and spray can simple?I did the update I while back and thats when I was allowed to adjust the pressure, but I can't eliminate it all together. I got new wheels when I changed tires and didn't swap the tpms.
For the c's can I get aftermarket bushings or will I should I get new C's? Is it a simple swap?
P.S. Know anybody your way interested in my steel wheels with terra grapplers?I haven't listed them yet, but I plan on selling them hopefully to someone semi local.

Is it seperate from the one that allows me to change pressures up and down from 26 psi+?
Yes, the lower ball joint. Any suggestions on aftermarket replacements.
sawzall it then JB weld and paint it up and you'll be good. If you don't want to do that then just use a big hammer and smash it back, I did this and it's fine for flexing with the 35's if you go bigger you're gonna need to cut.
Seems like I need to try to download and update and look around for the tpms disable again. Also seems like BFH is the preffered method, so I'll try it first and then if I'm not happy I'lll sawzall and JB weld. NOW any recommendations on ball joints?

I trimmed my pinch seam with a cut-off disk, then touched up with a small bottle of color-matched paint that I bought at the dealership. Then, after wheeling in Moab with 35s and a TF 2.5" coil lift, I came back and did it again because it was rubbing like crazy. Don't believe folks who say it's not necessary with 35s: They are right only if you don't air down and flex (at which point the tire bulges out and makes contact--something you'll never find with a simple articulation test at home).
This was after trimming and painting the first time--Fins and Things caused the paint to rub off and the metal to bend down (see second layer of metal back) ...

Last week I helped someone replace the ball joints. By helped I was pretty much an extra set of hands for him. I believe they were Dynatrac and they're seem to be a ton better than factory, and they have grease fittings. They're pricey, but I guess if you're going through all the trouble you should get something that's built better and will last longer.
