Default Pinch seam question

I have a rock krawler 3.5 in lift on 37s. Does it make sense that I need to cut the rear pinch seams. I know the axel was pushed back some but everything I read people are cutting the front.

I had to cut the rear on mine. Only had a couple inches clearance between the point of the pinch seam and my 35's, so I cut it off with a sawzall and bi-metal blade, then rattle canned it with rust-proofing and black enamel. Got about an extra inch outta the deal.

I cut mine to clear my 37's. See pics below. I used a reciprocating saw too.

I also shortened my rock rail.

See planman's write up for some good visuals to help you out.
