Interested also to know. Don't want to hi-jack your thread, but I wiill remove my side step soon to install rubi rails. So would like to cut the pinch seem at the same time. But don't want to remove to much. Heard to fit Poison Spyder Crusher Flares, if you cut to much, you will miss material for a bolt in this area?? So if some people have some dimensions to provide... please
thanx

You can use a cutting wheel on a grinder or die grinder or a sawzall to cut it in 5 minutes. It will be the shape of a triangle you cut off. Touch the paint up with your choice. I used bedliner on them. A big hammer will allow you to pound the corners over. There are some threads you can read for more info.

Very easy.

Just put in "cutting the pinch seam" under the search. You'll come up with several threads on it. I've pretty much read them all as I want to do it too. Sawzall seems to be the tool of choice. You can also use a Jigsaw. Guys also cut their stock rock rail at the same time

I have done that and just found a bunch of talk. No step by step how to. Also did a google search and found a bunch of threads but no instructional step by step with pics (I don’t want to cut too much)

I cut my pinch seam with the tires on, be prepared for a small workspace and make sure you don't cut your tire. If you have rubi rails I would definitely take them off before cutting them and the pinch seam.

According to his profile, he's running 315s on stock suspension. I think most people who trim the pinch seam are running a lot more tire than their lift will allow. You have 2.5" lift and the same tire size. Planman has several threads on how to run BIG tires on minimal lift. I believe he is running 37" on a 2.5" lift and 1" body lift.
