Default Pitman arm bolt loose

Is there a way to torque the nut on the pitman arm without removing the track bar?

The track bar is easily removed and replaced without affecting your alignment. That would be the best way so you can properly torque the pitman arm.

A pipe wrench and hammer? Just kidding. Removing the track bar is easy. There isn't any short cuts to do the job correctly. If you try to take short cuts, you wind up on the forum asking how to get to bolts to torque them. Hah.

Sent from the fast lane while driving one handed.

Not only the track bar. You may also want to drop the drag link. Get a 4' pipe to fit over the pitman arm to use as hold-back while you torque the nut to 185 ft-lbs. Why risk damaging your steering box?

Just a thought. Void where prohibited. Your mileage may vary.

Make sure the lock washer is there too. Shouldnt have come loose, they are torqued to like 180lbs.
