Default Plasti-dip finish is fuzzy

So I bought into the plasti-dip hype. My finished product is fuzzy. Any idea what I do wrong?

Pics would help because when you say fussy I'm thinking the surface wasn't clean enough.

How far away were you spraying from? If it was more than 6-8 inches, the atomized spray may have dried as it traveled through the air and hit the wheels leaving a "fuzzy" coating. It happened to the first 4 wheels I did, I finally got the hang of it on my last wheel.

I am ashamed to admit that I have quite of plasti dip on the jeep ... I found as I did more that you have to put on light coats .. I re-did my hinges a few times until I got it right.. took me 4 coats

Yeah, I never tell anyone I dipped my wheels since I peeled and fixed them, everyone thinks I just bought black wheels.

100 degree+ temps probably don't help either.
