Default Plasti-dip and the weather

Hey all,

This is the second time at my attempt to pdip the hood cowl on my 2012 JKU. The first time came out roughly the same as this photo so I peeled it and started over. I've read that spraying too far away from the part will leave the surface textured like the photo, except I was between 5 and 6 inches which is where I'm supposed to be.

My guess is that because I live in Arizona and even though I did this in a garage, the pdip is coagulating (for lack of a better word) before it hits the part. Can anybody confirm this? I painted my some other parts and did not have this textured problem, but I don't think it was quite as hot as it has been lately.

It shouldn't look textured like that. I did the pieces to the side of the cowl a couple of weeks ago and they have no texture at all, just flat black.

I didn't have to do that with my other parts, but I'll try that after peeling this thing again for the second time. Going to get up super early where it's only 80ish to paint again.
