They make a product called a glossifier to go over the plasti dip but I believe it makes it glossy. I'm not sure if they have a clear to go over it that keeps the matte look

I bedlined mind the other day, i tried plastidip and it didnt work. kept chipping going on trails from branches. just took some 120 grit and sanded it then went over it with 320 to finish it up. rustoleum can of bedliner from home cheapo did the trick and it looks good, even did the winch plate while i was at it.

Looks solid, I plasti-dipped it like 3 days ago, but the coats were uneven and im just gonna peel it off. Thought the clear would make it better o well

Yeah thats the other problem with it, uneven you can easily tell and its the worst when you notice it. least for me, this took me a couple hours mostly prep time. but than you, im quite proud of it, bought the spare grill off craigslist for 100 bucks haha so i can swap to the stock yellow one hangin on my wall when i want to.

If you do decide to clear over Plasti-dip you won't be able to just peel it off like you normally would. There are a few videos out there of the Do's and Don't's of Plasti-dip if you do a Google search. They say it can be done, but isn't recommended. I also bedlined my grille and it turned out great. I sanded it with 180 grit paper and masked it off then sprayed away. I used Duplicolor Bed Armor, it dries with a great finish and has yet to chip 1 year later.
