You will regret not lifting, your going to have to re gear so be it. You will not have to re gear right away unless you live in a hilly area and if you have a 6sp, you may not at all. I have that lift and will be getting those tires after I wear the stock Rubi some, I did some extras like adj Tracbar and replaced all bolts for the CA. I have Xd Spy wheel 17x9 with 4.53 offset. It drives great but know I will re gear once I go with 34.5" tires.

Have you been or plan to go to uwharrie? A stock height jku will drag it's belly over almost all of the water breaks. Doesn't do any damage, but is anoying enough my wife said " Thats enough, go buy your lift".

Do the 35's. It is doable with the auto and 373. If not you will be disappointed later.

I honestly have no idea, only been there stock. Put on a 2.5 lift and 37's Saturday, headed back down there this weekend and I bet she doesn't drag. There were some guys down there last year with a leveling kit and 33's. The first ledge going up Daniel was real bad. I turned around and went the other way after having to watch them get hung up and have to be drug over the ledge. I did run all of the other trails stock with my JKUR.

NO brackets, keep stock wheels, 19/60 coils and shocks, and then play it by ear n

I have 35s with the auto and 3.73. It's fine, as long as you reprogram for the tire size.

315 duratracs and 373. Not sure why anyone thinks they would need to regear.

We often forget how capable is a stock Jeep.
For minimal offroading and some camping, 285/70/17 would be fine, and you don't need a lift.
Just make sure they're All Terrain, rated for load D or C, NOT load E.

In time, you'll learn your exact wishes/needs.
You may get hooked on offroading... and there's a lot you can do with a stock Jeep and these tires.

I'd get some basic recovery equipment, 'just in case', and a compressor (can be a small, portable one) for re-inflating.
