Default Please help winch!!!!!!!

Im doing my installs today and just got the XRC8 smittybilt comp series winch mounted and all hooked up. Its the first time ive ever seen a winch in person......what the hell do i do to get it to work??? IS there an on button lol? This is driving me nuts, everything is connected, does my car have to be running or just on?

Please Help im so confused and frustrated thanks

Well u plug the remote into the outlet on top of the solinoid box, turn it, have the jeep running and there's and "in" and "out" switch on the remote to let out line and pull. Pretty simple

Damn dude, u sure u got all the wires right. I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and it worked the first time and every time since. Did u turn the plug once u stuck it in the soilinoid? Sometimes u gotta turn it pretty hard to lock in.

yeah im pretty sure its locked, i dont really turn it tho, just lock it in where the clips line up and its in there pretty tight, it wont really let me turn it

yea u have to turn it clockwise about 30 degrees. you can feel it shift into place. like i said, you might have tp turn kinda hard. mine wasnt very hard to turn, but ive felt some that were. i have the same winch u have you HAVE to turn it, bet itll work like a charm once you do

yeah what he said...you line the little things up on the remote plug then push down and give it a turn counterclockwise till you feel it click
