Default Please post pics of your OBA tanks!

I am considering puttting on board air on my 2dr JK. I need ideas of the better places to mount the tank out of harms way. Please post pics of where you mounted your tanks. Thanks

I mounted a 2 gal. tank to bottom of the tub above the rear axle. Mounted the compressor to the cross member right behind the tank. Control panel with power switch, pressure guage, relay and pressure switch mounted inside.

See pics.

I'm a fan of CO2, not compressors. Here's my setup:

WOW...cool idea, how is the compressor holding up being exposed to the elements?

Mine is behind my seat set up with quick releases on the hoses, straps on the seatbelt latch points and a connector for the compressor. If I need it out to haul something big , it takes me just a few minutes.

It only been under there for a month but I expect it to hold up well. The tank gas good finish on it so it should last a long time and the Viair compressor appears to be built and sealed to handle the elements. Only time will tell.

I went this route because I did not want to lose any space, a couple of people that have seen it thought it was factory.

I have a couple of 5lb CO2 tanks, and a 10lb unit. Nothing like CO2 for speed, an it runs air tools very well. But you do have to refill it, plus they take up signifiicant room, but the rear roll bar mounted 5lb is the best option for efficient use of space and it just fits on a 2 door. It is in the way when you lower the top, but it's easily removeable/replaceable.

You want to make friends on the trail? Well, when it comes time to air back up just pull the little 5lb tank/hose/inflator out of the back of the Jeep, and hand it to them while you go about refilling your own tires.

I was going to add the little ARB compressor mounted next to the master cylinder under the hood. And then add an air tank under the Jeep and QD air connectors front and rear behind the bumpers. I was going to go with a belt drive unit, but since I also carry a CO2 tank, I figure the electric will be plenty.
Do you guys think I should reconsider the belt drive or will the ARB be enough with a tank for moderate air tool use? You really burn through some air when using the impact/ratchet for any length of time at all.
