Default Poison BFH rear bumper install

Hey all, just got my poison Spyder BFH rear bumper...called the company for instructions and they said alot of guys would just remove the rear crossmember and weld in a 2x3 box as an option. Who has this bumper and what did you do to install it. I really like the bumper and already commited to the cuts for the template...no going back now. Any help appreciated!

Can't really help you with the rear but I do have a BFH front. On my install I called a few local body shops and asked if they could help a brother out with the cuts since I didn't have a plasma cutter. For 40 bux they made the cuts, ground the rest down and even through some paint on it. Just a thought.... I know I'll be going this route again when I'm ready for the rear BFH bumper.

My brother is running this bumper. We got a little frustrated with the cutting, we just removed that middle piece altogether.

Get rid off the cheesy crossmember, I did. The bumper is way stronger anyways. Sawzall, cut off wheel and a big rubber mallet, oh and a few beers is what it took to get mine on.

I tried to save part of the crossmember and after an hour of cutting, recutting, and cursing I just gave up and cut it out altogether.

The bumper seems to provide plenty of strength at the rear so I didn't see the need to fiddle with the crossmember any longer!

If you guys removed the rear cross member completely, What is supporting your rear body mounts?
